"Just Drizzy Baby.."

Its about time I spoke about this genius called Aubrey Drake Graham. This man in my eyes is the future of hip hop and in my eyes potentially a legend in the making. The thing about drake that stands out for me is his lyrical prowess, he's rhymes are simply unbelievable. Unlike some other artist's he is the definition of real I don't think I've listened to an artist that I have related to more than Drake, one track specifically that stands out for me is "Say What's Real" everything in that song speaks to me on a level like never before.

Now another reason why Drake is some one that is gonna take the game by storm is the fact that he created a buzz whilst being unsigned by himself with his mix tapes Room for improvement, Comeback Season and So Far Gone. The success of these mix tapes where so high on the underground scene he was in the mist of bidding war between labels to sign him but Drake knew there was only one label that he was going to sign with the same label as his mentor Lil Wayne. In July 09 Drake signed with Young Money and never looked back he has gone on to record tracks for his new album as Forever will be the 1st single from his debut album "Thank Me Later".

Drake is something special and something that the music industry is not blessed with all the time, he himself has realized that this buzz has been created and people are expecting big things but he himself knows that he's just starting out and he has a long way to go to be considered a great and I love his honesty and humbleness where as other artists would let the fame go to their head. There's a quote that drake gave on how he came up with the name So Far Gone for his latest mix tape....

"The whole tape extends from one of my closest friends Oliver. One night we were having a discussion about women and the way we were talking about them, it was so brazen and so disrespectful. He texted me right after we got off the phone and he was like, 'Are we becoming the men that our mothers divorced?' That's really where the cover comes from, too. It's just this kid in pursuit of love and money. We're good guys, I'm friends with some real good people and for him to even text me after we got off the phone it just showed we have a conscience. But sometimes you just get so far gone, you get wrapped up in this shit. The title has a lot of meanings—as the way we carry ourselves, the way we dress, the way people view us, not to sound cocky, it's just that feeling that we're just distanced in a good way. You’re just elevating past the bullshit and past all the shit that you used to be a part of and you're not that proud of, you're just so far gone."

It's easy to see this man has the tools and the talent to be a real success, he is easily my favourite artist already and he hasn't even dropped an album yet. What I like about him is he brings his own fresh style to hip hop he doesn't rap about drugs and guns because he's not been through that struggle. He said in an interview he did have struggles but not of that type, so why would he speak about things that he's not experienced?? This is why I think he is special he brings a sense of honesty and realness to his rhymes. Also he can sing as well and doesn't try and hide behind this exterior that all hip hop artist's should only rap, he brings a fantastic melody to his track "Stunt Hard" Featuring Lil Wayne and The Nut Kid, as well as bringing a fiery verse that just makes you wanna press rewind and listen again.

I could sit here and talk to you for hours about this sensation but for now like he says I'm not gonna thank him now I'm gonna thank him later.
