"Music Industry Falling?!"

Last couple of years a lot of news and press in the media and just general buzz around the industry was that the music industry was failing because of the emergence of downloading. With people close to artists leaking music to the internet and it getting downloaded, sales are taking a hit I will definitely admit that. On the flip side of this thought I think any real fan of an artist no matter what would much rather buy their album than download it? Why would you want a fake copy when you can have the real?? Why? It's cheaper? It's faster? Thats all true but if you are a fan of an artist don't you want to see them get to number one in the charts? Don't you want them to be successful? This is why I don't agree the music industry is failing.

Look at Lil Wayne in 2008 he sold 1 millions copies of the carter 3 in the 1st week!! You may say this is an exception but 1 million sales is still 1 millions sales in 7 days?? Thats unreal.

For me the music industry is healthier than ever especially Uk music, I can't remember a time where I've heard so much good Uk music, maybe we'd have to go back to the 90s but at the moment we have so many artists like Kid British, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Chipmunk, Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder, Alexandra Burke, Chase & Status, Jay Sean, Kano, Mr Hudson and so many more artists that are dropping dope music to listen to every week.

Not only do i think the artists at the moment are on fire but i think Dj's especially the ones in my home town manchester namely DJ Stylus and Dj G2,i think these two Dj's are possibly to of the hardest working Dj's I've ever met, they are always playing the best music and the newest music at the nights they play at as well as on there show which you can listen to here on Wednesdays between 8-10. This is how the industry is supposed to work and for a little while it stopped but artist make new tracks they get sent to Dj's they play them on the nights out people listen enjoy maybe hear something they haven't heard before do some research buy the album like it a lot and end up becoming a massive fan.

At the end of the day the music industry isn't in a state of emergency in fact I think with the help of iTunes helping to protect music, the industry has no limits. You can't download the feeling of seeing your favorite artist live in an arena full of people like you that know all the words and the rush you get from seeing the artist respond there are things you can download and things you just have to experience.

Music is the greatest form of expression I believe and with out it the world would be a worst place.
